The Fourth of July holiday weekend found me traveling through Athens en route home from a fabulous lake jaunt, and my husband graciously agreed to pit stop by 397 South Milledge so I could see for myself what this renovation looks like. A-maz-ing. But, as luck would have it, my camera battery was dead; fortunately, sweet Abby Howe sent me these updated pictures to share with you. Siding on the new addition is going up and windows are installed. The sheetrock of the chapter room is taped and mudded... it is starting to feel like a true chapter room, very surreal!! The rehabilitation of the original siding on the existing exterior of the house is still in the works and I can't wait to post a before and after shot of the front of the house once it's complete. The wood siding is about half the width of the vinyl; so now the house will look a little more detailed and classic. Exciting.
If you are itching to see this in person too, Delta Upsilon alumnae are welcome to attend the 2009 Annual Meeting for House Corporation Board in the house on Sunday, August 2nd, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Email me if you want more information about the meeting, otherwise I hope I'll see a lot of you there. flowers.jennifer@gmail.com
